West End Branch Library Has Temporarily Relocated
Published: June 18th, 2014
As of Jun. 23rd, the West End branch library re-located on an interim basis to a 4,000 square-foot facility in Foggy Bottom at the Watergate (2522 Va. Avenue NW). Located next to the post office at the western end of the building nearest the infamous Watergate office building, in addition to having 20 computers and a meeting room for up to 40 persons, the space will accommodate separate areas for children, teens and adults.
The branch, which closed on June 8th, will remain at the Watergate until the new, eight story mixed-use project at 24th and L Streets is completed, where the branch library will then occupy 21,000 square feet on two levels, with eight stories of residential housing above. Construction updates will be available by visiting www.dclibrary.org/node/28744.)
