Packed Agenda Announced for Kalorama Citizens Ass’n. Meeting

Thu., May 16 (7pm): The Kalorama Citizens Association (KCA) will be holding its monthly meeting at Good Will Baptist Church (1862 Kalorama Rd. – to enter, go up the main front steps and bear right to the rear side door). The agenda will a presentation by 3rd District Police Commander Jacob Kishter focused on the noticeable increase in street crimes, including some with guns, in Adams Morgan; review of ABC license renewals with a view to enhancing existing settlement agreements with Spaghetti Garden, Bistro 18, and Carriage House; a presentation by Mary Belcher on the Saturday, May 18th Walter Pierce Park Archaeology Project public event that will take place between 11 am and 1 pm in the park at which time a report on the archaeology and history of the site will be released.

In addition to the business part of the agenda, there will be a special Recognition for long-time neighborhood resident Ann Hughes Hargrove, who recently received an historic preservation Lifetime Achievement Award from the District.
