Columbia Heights Day Festival Plans Announced

Sat., Oct. 5 (10am-6pm): Neighbors and others from all over who want to experience the dynamism of Columbia Heights are invited to join in the fun during the seventh annual, free Columbia Heights Day to take place on the Harriet Tubman Elementary School playing field and along 11th Street between Irving and Lamont Streets (just three blocks from the Metro station); entrance to the festival will be at 11th and Kenyon Streets.

In addition to the live music and dance performances, there will be a petting zoo and kids zone, a morning yoga workshop conducted by the nearby Kali Yoga Studio, and much more. Throughout the day dozens of neighborhood businesses and organizations will be participating. Food and refreshments will be available from the BBQ Bus, Borinquen Lunch Box, Pleasant Pops, and The Big Cheese food trucks.
