Annual “Taste of Dupont” Event Was Held on a Beautiful Evening

For the sixth year, on October 21st, over 20 Dupont Circle restaurants offered their favorite appetizers, entrées, or desserts during this popular progressive dinner opportunity designed for participants to explore neighborhood eateries by going from place to place with tasting tickets to enjoy the best that the wide variety of restaurants along Connecticut Avenue, P, 18th and 17th Streets have to offer.

Participating restaurants included the following: Annie’s Paramount Steakhouse, Bar Charlie, Crios, Darlington House, Dukes Grocery, Dupont Italian Kitchen, Glen’s Garden Market, James Hoban, Le Mirch, Mum Mum Restaurant, Ping Pong Dim Sum, Scion, Teaism, Thomas Foolery, Trio Restaurant, Odeon Café, and Ultimo Lounge.

Tickets to the Taste of Dupont were $5 each or five for $20, and for those who attended the Dupont Circle House Tour the day before, Bill McLeod, executive director of Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets (HDCMS), had announced that attendees of that event would receive a complementary ticket for this event.

Taste of Dupont is a fundraiser for HDCMS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All proceeds from ticket sales  will be used to support the general operations of the organization established in 2003, charged with revitalizing Dupont Circle. Its mission is to expand the coalition of neighborhood stakeholders; retain, expand, and attract a mix of neighborhood businesses; manage and improve our public spaces; assist independent business owners; preserve the diverse and historic character of our neighborhood; and promote Dupont Circle as a shopping and dining destination.
